It may be a bit too early to start talking fall recipes, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one today! Since our students are going through phase changes, we always have pot lucks going on in the classrooms. I thought this could be a great idea for a pot luck item. It’s delicious, and a great idea to use some of the local farmer’s market apples!
Ingredients
4 medium apples                                             3/4 cups packed brown sugar1/2 cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour1/2 cup quick oats1/3 butter, softened3/4 tsp cinnamon3/4 tsp ground nutmegPreheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease bottom and sides of 8 inch square pan. Spread apples in the pan. In medium-sized bowl, mix remaining ingredients until well mixed. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 30 mins, or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender (check with fork). Serve warm with ice cream!
